Legal situation in Italy
Acupuncture can only be practiced by medical doctors, while tuina and moxa can be practiced by everyone who has completed a recognized training (usually three years long). As far as Chinese herbal medicine is concerned the law is not clear. In some regions such as Tuscany patients are reimbursed by public health insurance, however in most parts of Italy patients have to pay with their own money
